I have an 87 Ranger in which I just replaced the high pressure fuel pump after sitting unrepaired for about 4 months. I tried to start and bled the air out of the fuel line and am getting good pressure however since this point I don't get the indicator lights to come on and found the radio fuse 10a blown. The engine does try to start in the start position but when the key is put back in the run position it quits. Doing some more testing found no voltage to the 10a fuse. I tested other devices such as the heater fan and it does come on. I found three fusible links on the solenoid and they test fine. Is there another fusible link that I am missing which feeds wire 37 which is the yellow that goes to the keyswitch? Need to get this running. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also checked to make sure when I replaced high pressure fuel pump that I didn't pinch any wires and found one that had gotten under the bracket. I fixed that. Backup lights work also as one of the tests but I can't seem to find where the voltage loss is occuring. Thanks.
