I want to put a small lift on my ranger, maybe 2" and then some bigger tires. My dad doesnt want me to, because he thinks if I put big tires on it, when i need to have it worked on at a garage or whatever, they wont service it. He says they wont deal with it without the standard size tires. Is that true? Or would I be alright if I did lift it and put bigger tires on it?

I do not see where you would have a problem. With the lift you might lose the warranty if ya have one.

Most shops would rather have it "4 on the floor". It is less of a risk to employees. I have never seen a shop refuse to work on a tall tire truck.
