Does anybody have a diagram showing the location of the lock linkages in the door? I locked my keys in my Ranger this morning, and I bought a slim-jim,
but so far I haven't found the linkage to pull...Thanks!

Thanks for your post!

I just got it opened....I put the slim-jim between the window and the weather seal, with the hook part facing the inner part of the door, and it found the linkage!

Don't know about your year, but on the earlier models, you need to put the slim jim at the rear of the door in the latch area and pull up. You can usually tell when you are close as you will see the door buttom move around. If it is electric locks, use a small stiff rod and go around the door weather strip at the back of the upper corner of the door. Most common way on newer models.:)shady

Thanks shady! That's where I put it, when it found the linkage for the inner mechanism!

Can you please remove that from open forum; that isn't something anyone needs to know.

Please take it to PM's if you want to know how. Not everyone needs to know how.

Was just asking to see if one could put a plate in to prevent it from happening.

i just dont lock my doors. that solves that problem lol

Could you elaborate on that?

there was a video on here about it at one point in time. probably got deleted tho. its some scary shit. but then again my b2 has a rear "gate" of sorts now so if you want to put the effort into climbing through it your more than welcome to steal it but let me tell ya even the stupidest officer could not miss my rolling pile of parts drunk without his glasses on. just ask the folks on here that know me in person.
