Help With Power Steering Pulley Removal

Ok, so I got the power steering pulley removal tool and as I am typing it is sitting on the end of the pulley. Followed the haynes manual the hole way except for slackening off the belt (I just used the belt tensioner). Still cant get the pulley off. Are there any little things i may have missed along the way? Me and my buddy were reefing pretty good but then we stopped.

I have turned the bolt counter clockwise and the puller body clockwise and vice versa without any progress.

Remove the belt. It's only in the way.

You can try some Kroil, but it's not likely to work on a press fit.

Other than that, it can take a fair amount of effort IF you're SURE the tool is installed correctly. If it's wrong somehow, it might not work.

A good tool requires two wrenches (not one) and has a bearing on the front.

You must have a different tool than I do. Mine would never fit on there with the pump installed in the truck! It took a lot more effort than I would hav ethought to get the pulley off of mine. Those suckers are on there TIGHT!

Haha, i was actaully helping him with the pump change. We were waiting for an answer so i went on my account and posted then said "oh look you have a reply" haha im just glad my regular vehicle isnt a ranger cuz i dont know much about them.
