help with gremlins

Ok Guys
I need some help. My ranger (99) has had a few strange things happen, a few weeks ago my theft light kept flashing after i had started the truck. And it continued to flash all the way home, once i turned it off and restarted it it stopped and hasn't done it since. Then today my wife was driving it, she started it and pulled out the driveway and she said the stereo started cutting in and out, and the guages and dash lights started coming on and off then the truck died. she put it in park and restarted it and it was fine all the way back to work.
Has anyone had this happen? any ideas why?

That sounds about right IMO. The contact/connection points could need cleaning possibly.

Can someone please tell where are the common chassis grounds, which to look for first

not sure, but the haynes manual is an invaluable tool. when i buy my ranger next week ill be grabbing one of those the same day... i guarantee that it would show a diagram of all the grounds.
