So I just bought a new (new to me) '04 xlt...

The truck has some aftermarket mods and lighting.
I know NOTHING when it comes to electrical and or lights (other than replacing bulbs)

My problem is this:

When putting on my turn signals... Instead of the front corner Amber part flashy, my actually headlight flashes.

This is obvious not right. I'm not sure if the previous owner purposely did this, or he cross wired something when installing either the fog lights or cab clearance lights,

I need some help to fix this as I almost think it's illegal to drive it like this, but I'm not exactly sure where to start.
Please help!

On my 2002 the front corner does not flash. The turn signal is an amber bulb inside the headlight housing.

I believe some here have done mods to make the front corner flash as a turn signal, should have been that way from the factory.

Oh that is definitely illegal.

I can't go looking through diagrams right now, but later I will poke around and see if I can figure out what might have gone wrong there.

Ok, I have pondered this over for the past day, and I have a thought.

Is it only the high or low beam that is effected, and does that filament come on and flash when not turned on at the dimmer?

I am thinking the issue might be in the multi-function switch.
