I want to put a set of Cragar S/S's on my 99 Ranger 4WD but am having difficulty getting a definitive answer on the backspacing and offset. According to the tech library here, the backspacing should be 3.75 inches with a -6mm offset on a 15x7. I emailed Cragar and they said their 61715 wheel will work and also recommended the correct lugs. But that wheel has 4.125 backspacing with a +3mm offset. Is that going to be a problem ?
My paranoia stems from of set of Cragars coming off a GTO I had a long time ago. My fault cuz I had the wrongs lugs but what was funny at 17 years old wouldn't be quite as much fun now. Interestingly the tech library info has a red asterick for data supplied by American Racing Wheels that has a very similar looking Torque Thrust. Problem is they are more expensive and I've always been an S/S/ fan.
If anyone can provide a definitive answer as to if the Cragar 61715 will create any problems for me it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
