i havent started my truck in a couple years and decided to get her running again.i can see that my ground cable is cracked and corroded.it would turn the engine over a few times then the battery would be drained .charged the battery and used a jumper cable mounted from negative term. to a ground.i can get to engine to turn over but not fire.i have a code reader but cant remember if im using it right and adobe wont let me download the manual for it.can someone please help me.just remember i am kinda of slow and stupid.its not my fault i was born that way.here goes ill use [ for a beep and- for a pause.hooked up reader turned to on.its in hold.turned key on. turned to test. [[---[--- [[-[[[[ --[[[[[-[[---[[-[--[[-[[[[--[[[[[-[[---[-[-[-[-[ i think its a 24 and 52 i can hear my fuel pump turn on but havent been able to check for spark. can anyone help? thanks

24 = Intake Air Charge Temperature (ACT,
IAT) sensor or Vane Air Temperature
(VAT) sensor out of range
52 = power steering pressure switch open
Copied from this site;

My interpretation is that the sensor is disconnected or wiring problem. But I'm guessing.
Good luck,

Richard
