help with a axle ID

a guy in my auto tech class needs to kno what axle he has in his 66 stang, its a stick behind a 200 stright6

There used to be an axle recognition section in the tech library. Don't know if it's still there.

66 would have a 8" or a 9"

the 8" is oval the 9 is round

I don't think it's a 8" in a 66......it should be the POS integral 6.5

thats what im thinkin it is, it aint a 8.8 or a 7.5, i own both and kno wat they look like
