hey , i got a 98 Wrangler here , 5 speed , got a leak comin out of the trans mission , ran into a problem where we cant get the skid plate off , she is leakin pretty good , and i am out of ideas , any ideas for a temporary fix till we can figure out what to do to get the plate off ?

Do not break the bolts in the skid plate use lots of PB blaster and I had to use a decent breaker bar with a cheater also if you can heat it up with a torch

The frame rails are threaded that's is why you don't want to break them.

well we cleaned it all up with brake clean and let it sit for a while , didnt drip or anything , put everything back together , drove it , and couldnt find a leak at all , nothing got wet again , what residue was left on the plate smelled like gear oil , and i am not sure what uses gear oil other than the axles ? this thing has me confused , and one bolt did not want to come out , it just spun , and another like went up further into the frame , so idk
