I acquired a 1986 ranger with a 2.0 motor with a motor craft e87e-9510-aa carb on it well carb is junk so I was wondering if anyone has went with a Weber carb? If so which one and is there a better distributor for it? Will 2.3 parts work on it? Motor has round intake and exhaust ports. Thanks matthew

The Holley-Weber used on Pinto & Mustang II 2.3 engines from 1974-199x should be usable on a 2.0 as the lower intake is the same(I think). The intake ports on the side of the cylinder head should match the shape of the lower intake, and the carb might bolt on without an adapter, depending on which one you have. The H-W is a staged 2-bbl or 2V, with the secondaries opening at some point in the primaries opening(60%??).

If I use a Weber 32/36 Dgev will I need a adaptor? I can’t find the bolt pattern so I can measure mine to c if it will bolt up or not
