Hey guys, my last id was jacked..(moody_blues) ANYWAYS! i got a 2004 fx4 level II i ditched HARD! my front end is screwed to rebuild it is 1900$ so after doing much research on here last night, im going to do a SAS since it will be 10 times the suspension + i can actually lift it and get articulation out of my truck without the IFS.so heres the thing, my trucks a 04 from everything i read on here its much MUCH easier to run a leaf sprung axle, i'm going with a dana 30 front with 4:56's to match my 8.8's gears, i need someone to contact me that has done the leaf sprung swap, i dont want to run coils period, i was never really a fan of them i had alot of binding issues with my 97 i had. my questions are.. cross over steering? what did you guys run for a powersteering pump? i was thinkin a mid 80's toyota external frame mount pump, also PICS would be greatly appreaciated on the leaf pearches fabbed up under the cab, i got the front end all configured and i made blueprints last night of my dimmensions. if someone could call me i have lots of questions 715-308-0143 the name is Brock this is my cell. need to get this project started and completed! oh just to let u guys know its going to have 33's i dont want it to top heavy, and its going to be 70% pavement pounder and a 30% MILD off roader (western wisconsin terrain sucks) But i know it will be hard to exactly caluclate lift heighth acheived, i roughly want in the ball park 4'' of lift, is this obtainable? or will it be rediculously bigger?

I'm going to be starting this swap on my Ranger when I finish my ZJ. Was the plan before but then the ZJ came around.

This swap is a big pain in the ass, and requires a lot of planning. Expect your truck to be down for a while.

I can take you through it step by step if you'd like.

Thanks for the call dude! looks like i got my shit straight i had the right plan from the get go :) thanks for the help!
