I currently own an 88 ranger that is slightly lifted front and rear. I was wondering what kind of axle would be a good start to performing a sas on my truck. Would it work if i could find a Dana 30 axle out of a Jeep cherokee or TJ Wrangler? Would a high pinion axle work? As for the suspension, would i be able to utalize any of the 4 link suspension on the front of the Jeep? I know i would have to gears of close or exact ratios.

D30 and and Early Bronco D44 are some of the most popular and easiest. Search through the forum; there are a ton of people who have done this and posted a lot of pics.

I have seen one person use the Jeep (XJ) suspension stuff, but I'd avoid it since you can build something else that will perform a lot better.
