I have a 1990 2.3 that I've put in my 1988 ranger. I put my intake and carb off of the 2.0 on the 2.3 and I can't get it right. It runs but it runs rich. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this since this 2.0 intake mounts right up to the 2.3. Any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated. thanks.

Welcome to TRS~!

I would first suggest to post this in the 2.3 forum (2000 and older) and you will get some great feedback...

I have a similar setup...2.3 from various sources using the 2.0 2bbl carb setup...so I might offer some help on this...but there are others in that forum with a bit more experience with some "other" configurations...

My current setup is an intake/carb from a 78 Mustang II...with a 2.3 short block (bottom end of the engine in case you're not familiar with the term)...

If you are using the 2.0 original carb it should work...cause I started out the same way...as far as running too rich, I've pretty much forgotten where the adjustments on that carb are...if any...but if you have pics of the carb, post them up...that way we can better direct you...there were at least two carbs that were used on that setup...two and one barrel, and the two bbl wasn't very good...so that's why most people with carbs swapped out...I've been happy with the one I have (aka Motorcraft 5200) but it has given me similar issues (like right now I'm working on the adjustment for rich/lean)...
