Hi, I have a 55 plate Mazda Barracuda truck, B2500. It flew through it's MOT today so all well there. Unfortunately the lights behind the heater dials have stopped working. Well, not so much stopped, but the one on the left behind the temp dial has never worked.

I played the 'please help me I'm blonde' card but even the guys at the garage didn't know how to fix them unless I was going to put it back into the garage and pay cash.

Does anyone have a manual, or know where I can get one from or better still, know how to change the lamps?

It looks as though the radio has to come out from basic tinkerings this morning but I am loathed to go much further without help. Clearly it isn't a priority as Barry is going well and this is a 'would be nice if it worked' issue but it is now bugging me!!

All the dash lights etc work fine which is why I think it's just a lamp thing. :yahoo:

Any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to The Ranger Station!

I'll elaborate a little more, since you're blond and all.
The "bezel" he is talking about is the black plastic "surround" that is around your heater controls and radio.
It has two phillips head screw under the lip that have to come out first.
Then pry gently and pull it away from the dash.
The radio will come out with it, so be careful of that.
If it doesn't come out with it, you will need a radio removal tool (a bent clothes hanger can work) to put into the 4 holes and release the tabs that hold the radio in.

Same link as above, Post #54.
