shakes, sputters and blows smoke, so i:
pulled intake manifold off so far to find there is oil standing at the bottom of the intake thats what its sucking in, but it seems as if the oil is coming from the valve covers.
the little tube that runs from the valve cover to the intake man.
whats my problem? before i go farther can anyone give me a diagnostic?

I'm confused as to how oil from the valve covers would be getting into the intake, and burned by the engine.... Do you have your intake tube sitting on the intake manifold acting as a vacuum cleaner or something?

That's about all I can think of, because I don't want to tell you something that I don't know about.

i had oil sitting on my intake, but it was never IN it...

mine got fixed when i redid my valve cover gaskets... about 4 or 5 hours of work for me. PIMFB to get out.

yes inside the intake behind the throttle body there is oil. there is a tube that runs from the top of the intake manifold in the very back, you cant see it and runs to the top of the valve cover. the bottom of the intake manifold that meets to the intake is dry its ok.

I'm not familiar with ford engine's but I'm pretty sure you're talking about PCV tube (positive crankcase ventilation). Too much vacuum pulling oil into the intake. Consider replacing the PCV valve.

Sounds like a stuck PCV valve to me too.
