last summer i replaced my passengers side head gasket in my 91 ranger and ever since it has been leaking oil like i siv. in doing so i had to remove my valve covers, upper and lower intake. i cannot see exactly where its coming but i can see oil running down my tranny. where should i look first?

Valve cover. That would be the most likely culprit. Look at it with a good bright flashlight and see where the highest point you can find oil on the engine. If its on the head and exhaust manifold its the valve cover, if it doesn't start until the bottom of the head....

needs a new gasket, and the head should probably be decked.

don't over look the intake gasket. they commonly leak oil all over the transmission.

when installing the head gasket you could have crushed the valve cover gasket or had the intake end gasket fall out.
