Okay heres the scoop
Want to sell suburban buy a different tow rig.......Found a replacement right now that i think i could get for $1K (asking $1300).
Guy wants to trade me his CJ-8 for my Burb straight up.......
The Cj body is shortened 14 inches and the body is really rough and has an okay family cage, but not any real value to it, he has a good title to it.
The frame is rough has two bad spots in it, LR rear spring mount bad, and RR front spring mount bad. Other then that i didn't see any damage. But again no real value with out fixing and even after fixing what value would their be....
It has a amc-360 that suppose to run good, carbed with holley
T-18 manual trans suppose to be good
Dana 20 tcase (pass drop) suppose to be okay
has really good set of 38x12.50x15 TSL SX's.......i would keep these and then sell my 36" TSLs for $500 to anybody in CTOR and $600 to anyone else
Front D44 with 6 lug brakes, has 4.88 gears and a loc right....nothing worng with it set up for heim steering but not hi-steer,
Rear D44 from waggy shortened, 4.88s with a detriot and disc brakes.....left axle shaft said to be bad and it "appears" the left axle tube is a little bent. So only real value in my mind is gears, locker, brakes.
Has some type of steering gear box brace on the frame proffes. made
Has some type of a single rear anti-wrap bar on the axle going up to the frame
So if i was to trade....
i have
$500-600 for my tires
$300?? for the rear Detroit
$100?? for front gear set
$100?? for rear brake set-up but sell housing and all
$300-400 for the front axle assmbled
What ever value to the frame/body/cage/driveshafts/engine/tans/tcase/ger box brace etc.......
What should i do, i have been trying to get $1500 for my burb......the replacement truck won't sit long, the guy is laid off and desperate and i know he sell it quick.
the tow vehicle i found to replace is a 95 F250 4x4 58L with a new/reman auto trans std cab std bed
