Ok, well I just finished up my turbo build. Great block, new rings, bearings, ect, ect, all went together perfectly.
Anyhow, been tuning the computer, and accidentally touched the signal wire to 12v today. Truck wouldn't start. Opened it up, fixed a broken trace.
Now, I hooked it back up with a temp wire to test it. Started, ran like it did before, so I was happy.
Brought the comp in, made the fix permanent, and hooked it back up. Started it, and the engine's knocking. Doesn't sound like a rod knock, sounds like a loud Chevy lifter type noise. What do these follower lifters sound like on these?
Anyhow, any ideas? I'm running thin oil, 5w10, was gonna change to thicker. Think that'll help? It honestly sounds like a sudden collapsed lifter, just really loud.
