Help Identify Part

Hello everyone, its been a while. I'm in the middle of a deep restoration on my truck (1992 2.9 V6, 8.8 Rear, D35 Front) I've got a lot going on in this build and I'm simultaneously working on a lot of different portions at the same time. I was going through my parts to get ready to reassemble the rear diff and I run across this wave spring. I can't seem to find it in any diagram spanning the rear diff, front diff, or any suspension. I would like to figure out where this came from before I make any more progress. It seems to fit the front of the rear pinion well, but heck if I know if it actually came from there.

Does this look familiar to anyone, any thoughts? Roughly 45mmOD 34.5mm ID

I've been through several of these diffs, and I can't recall seeing a wave spring like that in any of them (though I've also not disassembled any of the stock carriers (spider/side gears). Sorry, I'm no help where it actually came from.

I can't imagine anywhere that it would be useful... Maybe I just don't know enough about the actual differential.

I also can't find anything matching in a few diagrams online...
