HELP!!! I need a measurement

Here is the PROBLEM: I have an Aussie locker (XD13527) for my Dana 35 front diff. BUT the side clutches dont fit inside of the carrier on either side. They are a tadge bigger (maybe 1/16th?).

Weird shit! I really need someone to measure their lockright or Aussie where the side clutch slips into the carrier....and ill compare that with my original spider gears. My theory is that I have received a Jeep rear dana 35 model of a newer yearset. Soon please cuz my truck is all apart and i have work on moday.

If you have a complete lockright or aussie that has the same dimensions as my original spider gears im interested in buying it so send me a PM and pic or two. The Aussie i have is simply not going to work.

did you clearance the carrier? mine was the same as yours but i found this on their website and bam. it went right in.


do this and it will work perfectly.

well going into this project i thought that i was going to have to "clearance the carrier" but thats not the problem im having. the locker will physically fit inside the carrier no problem....its just that the two outermost clutches wont slip inside the smooth part where the spider gears came from.

notice in the picture with the spider gear and side clutch back to back, the diameters of the round part that glides into the carrier is BIGGER on the locker piece. so frustrating

im going down to my local ring and pinion....to compare the two different models used by lockrite for dana 35's to see if one will work for me....it better!
