Hey guys I have an '85 Ranger, Single Cab, 4x4, 2.8L. Last week the drive shaft dropped out of it and I can find the universal joint easily but I'm having a hard time locating the drive shaft coupling. At least I think that is what it is call. As you can see in the photos, it is damaged and needs to be replaced. It looks easy to replace but I can not find the part or part number for auto parts stores to find. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I think what you're looking for is called a "u-joint".

Denny's drive shaft has them and they have great service

Pretty much any driveline or machine shop will have them, or be able to get them. Anywhere that builds drive shafts.

Definitely check out Denny's drive shaft. Its a drive shaft yoke. Just make sure you measure it out correctly as there are at least two different size yokes for the 7.5. If you need the bigger one, let me know. I have it and I'm willing to sell it..

I have the small one for the 7.5 I'll sell
