Help! Can't find SPOUT connector

Ok, I have searched but nothing have found so far. I have a 1985 2.3l TFI (I think) manual 2wd

I can't find the SPOUT connector for the life of me, and I am trying to set my base timing. I have found pictures of what I think its supposed to look like, but nothing on my truck looks like the pictures. I have ran my hand along the wiring harness from the module on the distributor back behind the cylinder head and couldn't feel anything. The sticker under the hood says it should be near the distributor.

I am almost to the point of just running the RPM up to 2500 and setting the total timing to around 40 degees and hoping that does it

i had the same trouble when i looked for mine .i have a 86. mine was in the harness over near were the heater core is.

Looks like your year uses the Shorting Bar, follow the Y/DG wire from the ICM (dist).
