I dont know if this is the right place to post, but i figure it will get the most attention. Soo....

I am taking my skyjacker leaf springs off my old truck i rolled, to put on my new truck, but the freaking bolts are stuck in the rubber sleeves for the leaf spring hangers(eye) :pissedoff::pissedoff: We've tried torching the rubber, and pounding with a hammer and yanking on them but thats not working, anybody got any ideas or a special way of getting these bolts through the sleeve?? :dunno:

Thanks in advance,
Matt

when i changed my springs----i took an oxy-aceteline torch and just heated till the rubber melted..btw---wear a mask

cut the bolt then pound it out.. worked for me

X2 Burn em out and put in new bushings. I have yet to remove bolts from a stock set of springs, without having to use the blue-tipped wrench.

I used about a 15lb hammer as hard as I could accurately hit the thing... took about 20 minutes, but it worked, and of course it was the bolt closest to the gas tank... the other 3 gave me no issue...

tip: grease the bolt shafts before installing... don't get any on the threads, just the shaft

thanks guys i'll try some of those out tomorrow after work( i dont have access to a oxy-aceteline torch, just a propane one)
