Ok, so in short anyone out there who has pacesetter headers installed I am dyer need of pictures. I had someone do the install and they are saying there are challenges with getting them to clear the frame on the driver side mount wise. Also I am being told that the y-pipe does not match up to my flange for the cat "its different" is all I am told. No picturs yet but I will try to get them a.s.a.p. Please any and all help as this is supposed to be a daily driver. 96 4dr explorer motor is a 96 ranger.

This happens alot with headers. My mad long tubes were supposed to have clearance issues as well. i got lucky and foudn a better way, best thig to do is find matching flanges and cut and weld them onto your exhaust. As far as the fitment issues look up 4.0l pacesetter header install in google, and see what writeups there are for it. Also talk to supersixmotorsports.com They have done alot of this stuff and have good writeups for header installs.

I installed pacesetter headers on my 96 and everything lined up (had to bend the egr tube but thats it) maybe your issue is the different motor? I can try to take some pics if I get ambitious

Please Delete. I am selling the headers, I give up.

Im gonna give a guess that you have headers that have the 90-94 flange on them...

95+ have a different flange.

I used an extra y-pipe from the junkyard and cut the tubes out of the main flange section and pie cut the new tubes to fit and welded it up. Took a while, but worked like a charm.

I dont have Pacesetters, but rather BBK, and had to notch ever so slightly the passenger frame rail to keep the tube from touching it when the motor moved around. No problems on the Driver's side.
