Hello all, I just thought I'd introduce myself, as well as give a explanation to as why I joined.

Names Sebastian, I live in southern michigan, I work heating and cooling as well as farm. I'm also a 2nd lieutenant in Army National Guard.

Why I'm here on your forum? Well I've picked up two rangers now dirt cheap. I have a 1994 4.0 v6 reg cab manual 2wd that runs decent enough. But then I just got a lightly damaged 2000 4.0 flex fuel super cab auto 2wd with lower miles in great shape. The idea is to combine the two into one really nice ranger so I don't have to drive my 2000 f350 diesel everywhere.

But I have a lot of searching to do here to find out how things are going to work and if you anyone wants to point me in direction of good engine swap topics is appreciate it.

Welcome, give us some pics!

Here's the 1994 that I grabbed for $400 4.0L 5 speed

And here's my big boy ranger. 2000 f350 CCLB 7.3L diesel 6 speed.

The other I got for free from my girlfriends father that's a 2000 4DR super cab long box 3.0L 2wd. I'll grab some pic tomorrow.

Welcome to TRS Sebastian~!

It took me a while to get the name straight...I kept seeing seX BC...even when I looked with both eyes...but finally it sorted itself out...especially knowing your name...Seb...

Thank you for your service...I am Canadian but regard the US armed forces as security and protection for us here in Canada...especially if you've seen some of the pics of our military...I won't post them here because that has been done...

Anyway...enough about you...lol...

What Ranger do you want to use for the base? It looks to me like the extended cab should get the 4.0 and other hardware under the hood...especially if there is little or no rust on the ext cab...

If not, I'm sure you will explain the idea as it comes to you...I'm currently doing an 88 cab onto a 96 frame...so pretty much anything can be done with them...with a bit of time, patience, and a good welding/cutting background.

Welcome! Welcome! Looking forward to seeing what you turn out with those two Rangers.

Thank you for the warm welcome the newer ranger would have been the base if it weren't for the reason I got it.

But the rest of the parts are good so I'll take the redneck adage that it takes 3 trucks to make one.
