Hello fellow ranger lovers.
My name is Ethan I'm from Virginia, I've owned 3 rangers- my father 2, my fist was a '03 Ranger Edge ext cab 2d-2wd 3l v6 in Black. That Ranger was lost in an accident to a dodge ram. My second ranger an 06 ranger Xlt 4d, ext cab 2wd. After owning the XLT for about 4 years, I started to miss the Edge. there was something about it the XLT just couldnt match. My logic with the xlt was i had my edge 3 years i'd replace it with something 3 years newer. what I didnt know was the edge was renamed Sport- And I thought Sport was the base model. So i ended up going down in trim. on paper i thought they where the same. NOPE...
So i searched and I searched and i finally found an 02 Ranger edge 4d ext cab 2wd 3l v6 in black in philly, with a really amazing car fax and very very clean, less then 80k on the odo, My dad and I drove up through rain and snow in his ranger XL stayed in a cheap garbage hotel, honestly the trip sucked. but it paid off because I got my truck back, I always got random smiles when i drove the 03 edge, and it never happened with my xlt, I get them again driving this 02 edge. there are minor differences between it and my 03, seats, no running boards, 4 door vs 2 (i actually liked the 4d) I now want to make this 02 ranger into what I could have made my 03 into had it never got hit. full console, leather seats, double din touch screen. below are my 3 rangers the 03-06-02 I hope I can be of some use to others on this form and I'll be able to find some parts I specifically want- the Pioneer full console, and the straight pipe style running boards like my 03 had. and if somebody happens to have some black leather explorer heated power seats or mustangs that's a bonus.
