Long time visitor, learned a lot on here. I emphasize A LOT. Thank you. Cheers. Looking for constructive criticism please.

Welcome to the forum!

I don't see any other pics than this. Based on that, I see it's a 2WD 4.0 with largish tires and a billet grill; pretty difficult to be "constructively critical". *shrug* I guess it's aight. Not a fan of the billet grill but to each his own.

Looks good other than the grille and bug deflector. A lot of people like those grilles... im just not one of them.

How bout the grille in flat black, lose the bug deflector, and install 2" billet wheel spacers on all four corners. :headbang:

Thanks for the help.

this sounds better.

plus how good does the $700 paint job look in person? looks fine in pics but pics can be very forgiving on paint.

overall I like the ranger, I would NOT do a 3" body lift tho... the gaps and stuff looks terrible and you'll be to tall to look right.... if you wanna go higher, get full width axles and do it right.

Paint looks good in person, not as nice as pictures though.
Nobody likes the body lift idea, except its in my budget.
Id have to have a transfer case to go with a straight axle conversion though, right?
Man that would really f up my aunts driveway.

I say put the 2" spacers on. It looks a little top heavy with the current narrow stance. I wouldn't take any corners with any speed as it is right now.

Today I'll remove the bug deflector and 'billet' grille. The grille is gonna be sprayed with semi-gloss black. Can't afford the 2" spacers. Also installed an HID 55watt off road light with spot beam pattern. I'll spray the clear rock shield with the semi-gloss black as well so I don't get pulled over. Could only afford the one light, they're $90 bucks a piece on ebay at the cheapest. It'll be mounted dead center on the bumper, and I'll eventually get 2 more.

Thanks for the ideas everyone, cheers.

You should post some pics. Id also look for a painted bumper, at the same time, if chromes yo' thang, it doesn't looks bad.

I can tell by looking that your alignment isn't right. Those tires are going to be eaten alive if you don't put that thing on a rack.

You'd have to have quite a bit for a solid axle swap (SAS).

Full width or RBV width axles, radius arms and brackets or heims/dom for extending them, coils, new shocks, new steering (draglink, etc), brackets for panhard bar, transfer case, skills with welding, down time for the ranger, etc. and not to mention you'd want to have a locker(s).

Basically, if you say the body lift is in your budget, but a suspension lift isn't, stay VERY far away from an axle swap. I'd stay away from a body lift because they're goofy as heck looking and the only reason you'd need one is to fit larger tires. Your tires look plenty large enough, so if they aren't rubbing, I'd leave them.

What do you want to do with it? Is it a street queen? Are you going to be doing any off-roading, rock crawling, mudding, trail riding? Save your money, you don't need a body lift. Put it to good use and grab the 4x4 stuff from another ranger, or just find a 4x4 ranger.

Thanks for the advice.

Plannin on desert thrashin with my truck. I need a rear locker, maybe a spool.
As far as goin 4 wheel drive I dont really need it.
The truck did pretty good out there with no lift and an open diff so It should hang with the 33's and 6 inch rc lift.

Heres the light and black grille set up without the bug deflector. Them HID's is bright
