Hello!
Title says it, I just bought my first ranger.
I'm a welder fabricator :icon_welder: and I am starting my own small welding company www.fordsfabrications.com. I needed an affordable work truck. I know its a step side, and has a small bed, but it should work out well for a couple years.
It seems to be in good shape from what my shade tree mechanic abilities tell me, a mechanic buddy is going to go over it with me, and identify all the little stuff that I'm sure a truck with over 230K miles has wrong with it. It runs smooth, drives well, and looks pretty darn good for a 98!
so... hello to everyone! glad to be here!

Here's a pic of my two Fords

Howdy & welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
I'm in The DC metro area, Leesburg VA to be exact. The last "suburb" of DC before you cross the mountains.
The truck has great paint (original) for a 98. and a pretty good interior. original owner smoked in it, 2 small cig. burns in the seat, a could small nicks in the headliner, nothing really bad at all. bought it from the second owner who drove it less than 1k miles before selling it to me. The gauge cluster has only 1 bulb still lit up. I actually need to do some searches of the forum looking for info on swapping bulbs in the gauge cluster... Also thinking about swapping for a gauge cluster with a tach, but I've read a lot of folks having issues when they did the same. I'm finding this site to be a great resource. Thanks again guys. look forward to chatting it up and learning about my truck!
