New member here, but a long time Ranger/Mazda owner. I've recently decided to give some love to my original-owner 1998 B4000, now that I have a nice air conditioned space to work on it.
Other than a good engine compartment cleaning, the first mod was a Hurst shifter and a custom-made extension (and boot) to put it within easy reach. I love the way it shifts, but would prefer a bit less noise. Even with the delrin spacers in my extension it rattles more than I'd like.
On my list to do:
New stereo (with Android Auto / Carplay / Backup camera)
2" drop
Sway bars and bushings
18x9 Saleen replicas
Exhaust
Window tint
Anyway, here are a few pics of the shifter and a before and after of the engine bay.
