Hello! From Scotland

hmmmm.

with a 4x4 i would go 4.0 if availability was not an issue...the broad range of tq with the 4.0 is very nice especially with a manual trans.

but a 200 hp cos would be fun to break parts of the drivetrain with as well...

i run the 6.5 diesel...well the current unit is a 6.2 military version in my extended cab ranger....and i liken it to a 4.0. just slower:D

well the 4.0 wasn't used in UK spec vehicles but I did have a look around and I *can* get one. and parts from states based websites are readily available. still another week til I get my paws on the truck but I'll give it a tune up and see what needs fixin' before I go throwing new lumps in it. I do like the idea of a 4.0 because... it's a 4.0 :D

well....thats at engine replacing time....if the 2.9 runs ok then it will be just fine...they are fine to 33 inch tires....
