Hello from OHIO 2WD baja/offroad

Hey there guys name is Jarrod just bought my fist ranger for 500 bucks from a buddy who needed the money. Any how it is a 1997 Ranger XLT RCLB 2WD 5 speed, it has the 2.3 liter 4 banger with a hooker header and now a thrush glass pack, this thing is tits lol. but i have heard you can lift these and take them off roading or bajaing. is this true? if so does anyone have any know of good lift kits and are they reasonably priced to fit like a 31 or 33. also what else can i do to this engine on the cheap. is it efi or carburated (havent looked yet) want to make this 500 dollar beater into a beast.

Bump had a guy at a used lot offer me 1500 so I think I did good buying it from my buddy 500.but has anyone every lifted and off roaded these 2 wheel drive rangers or am I better off buying the coil spacers at advanced auto with 2 inch rear blocks,i do have a broken ps leaf sporting can I replacreplace the whole rear with 4wd ones? Or is there no difference?
