Just saying hello. This looks like a nice forum here. Im not totally new to rangers but i just got another one a few weeks ago. I had one about 10 years ago and, im sorry to say it but that was one of the biggest POS vehicles i have ever owned, lol. No, im not bashing Rangers or even Fords (love Fords actually) i just had a bad one. It was brand new, ran great but everything else that could go wrong with it did. I traded it in on a Jeep Wrangler and loved it. I lifted it, put 36", regeared it and use to take it off road almost every other weekend for a while. The last couple of years it spent more time in the driveway than anything else. I havent taken it off road in over three years so i decided it was time for a change. I got an even trade for a 1996 Ranger extended cab. Its a 4 cylinder, 5 speed, power windows, locks, cruise, air, 112,000 miles on it. It runs and drives very nicely. I guess i am just getting too olod and would prefer the comforts of something like this instead of the Jeep. Dont get me wrong, i still love Jeeps and offroading, i would just prefer to ride around in comfort more, not to mention, the Jeep only got about 12 mpg, lol.
Im sure ill have several questions for everyone. My step son recently picked up a 1988 Ranger GT too (not so sure its an actual GT now)so there will probably be SEVERAL questions in the future.
