Hello From Alberta.

Hello all
I live in Alberta and have just purchased my second for ranger, the first was an old clunker that looked like the one from king of the hill so i named it Hank. My newer one is an 06 so I figured it can be Bobby.

I purchased Bobby because the world of fast turbo imports and beautiful asian girls has put me into a financial bind. needed something reliable and fuel efficient that I wont break. Also I ve convinced my self that bikes are cheapier and easier than cars so i figured a truck would be useful if i ever needed to carry said bike.

That being said at heart I am a Toyota Fan boy but Ford has always been a close second. I'm here to get a feel of what kinda of perfomance I can squeeze out of this lil guy Reliabley, cuz its slow and boring

its a 4L 2wd, I figured 4x4 would lead to off roading off roading leads to breaking stuff anf kinda defeats the whole purpose.

Dose anyone here have the following mods, If you do what were the gains if any.

Exhaust - cats no cats? does cat delete throw CEL ?
chip - CEL
supercharger faster than 13.5?

So far all ive done is flipped the air intake into open atmosphere just to make it sound a little more beefy.
cost 0$ - gain- throaty sound.

WOW! Beautiful looking truck you've got. A cat delete shouldn't throw a CEL. I take my 3L 2WD offroad all the time, and that baby holds up just fine.

Love the color! Now for a lift. I see you still have not sold the GT4, from reading your post, Im guessing it has issues? Are you in Calgary or Edmonton ?

Nice truck...is that your air filter hanging out? It looks really dirty, and replacing that alone would increase your performance...I wouldn't recommend not running one or leaving it open like that...a dirty air filter can cause you more problems than Saturday night racing with a 300 pound navigator...

yes still have the gt4, I live in lethbridge, it has a blown transmission
after beating a high 12 second car in a race I wanted to g-tech it to see what i could lay down.
So i got some new tires reved er up to 5G dropped the clutch and didn't go anywhere .
its a fun little car but im selling to get a bike.
12's are great but im ready for 10's


the truck looks good in the pics but it full of scratches may try a cut and polish. the air filter is spun around more for the sound. why spend $130 on a cold air intake when you can just get creative. I do need a better seal of the filter to the box lid so its back to normal now till i figure that out. ill probable use the factory clamping system and just make some " modifications" to the box. in the end id like to keep it facing upwards as that really ugly gap batween the hood and rad support makes for great air flow. like the Lexus LF-A.

does anyone have any video's of an exhaust system on there 4.0? im worried its going to sound like ass like jeep 4l do with exhaust.....nvm found the video section...
