Hi
I moved to Alberta from Saskatchewan last July. I went and got two rangers
a 99 Ford Ranger 2WD 3.0l manual and a doner 92 Ford Ranger 2WD 3.0 manual. I need to do a engine swap. :icon_confused:

Welcome to the site, all the info you need should be here! Somewhere.....

Welcome.

Good info on this page:
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/

You will only use the block and heads from the '92
Intake, exhaust, and all sensors from the '99 will be to be used on the '92 block and heads.
So no wiring changes or computer swap is needed, just alot of wrench work.

Cam Position sensor/synchronizer is a weak point on the 1995 and later 3.0l engines:

Never read anything bad about the oil pumps on these engines so up to you if you want to put in a new one when the pan is off.
Rear main seal might be something to change as it is cheap and hard to get to after engine is installed.

Welcome from calgary!

Tons of info in the tech library, if you cant find what you need odds are youre not driving a RBV.

Welcome to TRS.
What part of Alberta did you move to?
You should start a separate build thread. I find them useful for when I start thinking I haven't got anything accomplished, and they are also good for keeping track of what you've done.
Good luck,

Richard
edit;

I reread this and it seems to repeat itself, but it IS two separate ideas....at least in my head.
