we'll I've been browsing on here a while so figured I'd finally introduce myself. I've owned a few rangers through the years, the last 2 I decided ima keep this truck till I die so all the tech help here is great. I have a 2000 xcab with the 3.slow and auto trans. Soon as I got her the trans was slipping, instead of giving up on the bad deal I had the trans completely done with upgraded internals and hd torque convertor. A year of smooth sailing till a trip to savannah and back to cola a tick turned into a knock, it got me home but died at 209,000 due to a broke wrist pin. Found a motor with 52,000 miles and dropped it in. Put flomaster 40 series single in dual out, just swapped the no tach cluster to a 2001 sport trac with tach thanks to this site. Just bought a trex billet grille, will install soon. This truck has been a Pima from the start but I love it and my daughter loves it more so I guess I may have to give it to her 9yrs from now. From now until then I'm sure a 5.0 will eventually be in place with some prerunner suspension and body work. We'll that's my vision, she'll prob want it pink with a matching nitrous bottle haha.
