Hey guys, my name is Shawn at Bassett Motor Sport, I design / manufacture a lot of custom Carbon Fiber parts for the motor cycle industry and i have a good amount of fab skills :icon_welder:(just a little history). My buddy has a Titian that is getting the "prerunner" look and we have done a good amount of custom carbon fiber for his truck. He was picking on me about my beater work truck (95 B2300). I was going to get a new work truck but i have decided to spend a little on my Mazda and skip the new payment and increased insurance.

Its obviously a 2WD so im not going to go bogging, just want to tear down some roads and look the part while im at it. Basically show the ol Mazda some love. Im looking to get some height out of the truck and a nice* clean* prerunner look. I know its kinda poser to want a look, but lets be honest we all do and im not ashamed to admit it. I did some researching on TRS for what im looking for but not very clear answers, so here is my noob list... Remember this a work truck, i need to retain (decent) MPG and workability. I think im going to stick with some 31s or 32s.

So my questions are....

Lift kit, what's a good bang for buck (about 5-6") BL and suspension is ok. Id like to know what you guys have and where to get it..

Pre runner bumpers, id prefer to make my own. Has anyone made there own? What year Ranger bumpers fit?

Anyone ever put wide ranger fiber glass fenders or OE flares on a B series?

I want to get rid of my tail gate and make a swinging tube gate with a 5th tire/tag mount, any one ever made one for a ranger/ B series?

And of course any positive point of views or ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance! Im a forum junkie so i hope to giving the information in the future.

Glad to have you on the site.

I would strongly suggest using search as a new member....... you may stumble upon a lot.
Glad you are here, and fixing up an old ride, not just crushing it.

Thanks Frank, Im on a lot of forums and see the typical nube questions with out using the search, but i did and really couldn't find any solid answers. I found some of my questions and didn't post them, but these are the unanswered ones.

better think about gears if you go 32 or bigger. I busted a 3.73 with 32s and it was a DOG.

Yes, it opens both ways and can be reversed 180 degrees so the tires hangs out the other way to give more bed space if needed.
