hella headlights

Schneidrz, Ya don't have any info posted about your truck, just the pic so I'm gonna assume it's a 2000 by the look of it.

You'll need a 9007 bulb. I didn't get a good look at what series Hella you had in the link but Advance sells Hella xenon bulbs for $49.99 a pair and they have em in stock.

Try and post up a signature about your truck so we can help ya in the future! :icon_thumby:

ok I just got those lights how much brighter will they make my headlights compared to the stock ones?

There are too many variables to take into account as to how much brighter they will be...how old the existing bulbs are, how clean the lenses are, how much wattage the existing bulbs are compared to the new ones, etc etc.

New bulbs will always be better than old bulbs, because as bulbs age they actually lose some effective power. If your lenses are foggy, I'd suggest cleaning them up or replacing them as this will help to allow as much light out of the lenses as possible.

Hey I wanna put hella lightbulbs in will they fit into my stock headlights or would I need new headlights as well? heres a link to the ones i was looking at.

These guys in your link are just the OEM quality bulbs, so i would not expect a miracle. I know that hella makes a xenon version of the 55W which would give you a better view in front of you, they cost about the same as a set of silverstars, but either (silverstar/hella xenon) is better than stock halogen.

ok thanks also I just tried to pull my headlights out but for some reason they wouldnt come out. I pulled the retainer pins up and was able to get them to move a decent amount but I cant get them to come all they way out. Any ideas?

You need to make sure you didn't pull the tabs too far... if I pull mine all the way up, they need to be pushed down a bit, so just take a flashlight and look down there just to be sure.

^X2, sometimes it takes a bit of playing around to get the tabs to line up.
