Hell Yeah!!!!!

yea definatly looks good man, and you might be missing something in the engine bay there.......can't quite put my finger one it haha..

Lol, yeah. I got almost everything that belongs in there, including the radiator. Only thing i'm in need of is a water pump, distributor, and a couple gaskets.

Best looking mustang made until recently. To look at it brings good memories. You would enjoy it more with a toploader and can always change it back.

Them jems are still out there, some a lot more expensive to fix then others. Got to see it! New home going to be up here? Haven't gotten cleaned out to that motor yet but it's still here.
Dave

Yeah, It's up there. And I still want that engine.

I got the garage organized up there so I have plenty of room now, more than I thought was in there. I'm picking up some equipment yet that will make this restoration alot easier, including a rotisserie. It'll be about a month before I order that though. For right now I'm going to get the last few parts for the engine, make sure it's all sealed right, and fire it up to make sure it runs and was rebuilt right.

Oh, and where should I start the build thread? In the rbv's under construction section?

Progress as of last weekend...

I love seeing something so beautiful get stripped down :icon_thumby:

More seriously, it looks great, mate. Hardly any rust or body damage.

That is a serious resto waiting to happen. By the way I am now your number one hater :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff:. Have fun you big jerk headed jerk. J/K I love Mustang's but I still hate you. :icon_cheers:  (here sits a smiley with a sign that says 'I am sorry. I did not mean that.)

As Indiam Larry so eloquently put it: "It's cool to see the mechanicalness of things."

Can you drive to NH & give me a ride when you're done? I'll buy the lobster.

You gonna media blast it?

Yes, definitely. I'm curious to see what's under the paint. And yeah, it's got some body work for sure. The rear quarters are fiberglass/bondo behind the rear tires, about 4 inches up. Nothing some patch panels won't fix. All floors and wheel wells are getting replaced. Probably some of the rear frame sections. I'll dig into that more when I get my rotisserie. I don't want to skimp on anything that's even the slightest bit questionable.

Right now i'm waiting on an engine stand or cradle. I've got a 302 on my other one, and nowhere else to put it, so pulling the 351 is on hold. If I had the steel to weld one up, I would.

I also have minimal time on weekends to work on the mustang. So I plan ahead, and have a goal for each weekend of what I want to get done. During the week I order parts depending on funds, and during the weekend I work on it. It's moving along.

That still have the 8" rear in it? You going manual with a top-loader or one with OD? Them floor look pretty good to me but like you said, take no chances, do it right. Several good Mustang places around, one in Stratford that a couple of years ago did C. Shelbys own car. Think the Point Mustang club has some good connections on where to get what. That driveway is starting to get crowded like mine.
Dave - Snow almost gone!

Probably. I don't even know what rear is in it for sure. Definitely going with a top loader 4 speed though. And probably even a 428 one day. :icon_thumby:

I think my dad even mentioned the place in stratford. Sounds like some great references.

I didn't have my camera out when we picked the car up, too busy getting the car ready to haul home. I finally got a few of the pics my friend took.

Hell Yeah!!!!!

Hell Yeah!!!!!

Hell Yeah!!!!!

I remember riding in one of those back in 78
