My credo
I need more sleep.
So, I decided to get another off road buggy and after some snooping around hobby town I have found this.

Its $269 and from what I've read is an awesome deal, speeds up to 50MPH and 4 wheel drive.
I'm going to go buy it tommorow, so I'll post up pictures and videos.
It is electric, which is what I've wanted for awhile.
It's a hobbytown exclusive, you can't find it anywhere else.

They also have a short course truck model. As well as 2 smaller models.

Bought it today, paid $284 (thats with tax), it's charging now so I'll post some running videos later.
This thing is pretty awesome, pretty much rtr out of the box (batt needs to charge) but everything is simple, hobby town also has all parts for this, as well as upgrades.

Remote takes 4 AA, and has room for 2 spares.

Picked up an 8.4v 3000mAh battery 1 hour charge time at 3 amps, 40 mins run time.

Got a good 20 minute run in with the 3500mAh battery. DAMN ITS FAST. I was going at least 50 when i smacked the curb and it flipped everywhere.
I saw the wheel hanging weird and I though it had broke, but the ball socket popped out. I put it back in and kept on going.

Too bad they can't make real trucks like that. :icon_idea:

Hit a curb at 50 and while your wheel will look weird the only "popping" that will happen is the noise it will make if it is still attached...

Lol if only... Ford if you're reading this.... Wink wink..

So, this rc started off good, and has now become not very fun. First off, the one wheel keeps popping off now, secondly the plug kept falling out. And thirdy, batteries. Takes sooooooooo long to charge it and everything and you get 10 minutes run time. I can't stand it. So, I traded it back in, I paid $264 bucks for this and traded it back in for $100. Now I understand why they gave me that much, even if they sold it new they'd only make $164 bucks. But they can't sell it new, so they really can only make up to $100.
And this is my fault, I choose to give electric a try and didn't like it. Instead of sticking to nitro I went off the beaten path. But all is not lost! I ordered this puppy. A DuraTrax 1/8 835B NITRO BUGGY! He gave me a discounted price, so with all the supplies, fuel and oils it came out to $300. And this is no cheap rc, it's very good quality and comes with a 1 year warranty for anything you break on it. The engine is a pull start, but I have a spare racing engine I may stick into it. I'm now happy going back to nitro, it's something I know how to do and love doing it. It's not going to be in till next week, so you all have to wait till then. :3 This was an expensive mistake going electric, but you know what, that's life.

Don't rule out electrics from this bad experience. You got a crappy brand. Ive ran both electric and nitro for almost 30 years. With the new brushless systems and lipo batteries that are out i can outrun my nitro buggies ( MP7.5 Kania 3). And have no oily mess to clean up at the end of the day.
Duratrax makes pretty good stuff, you should be happy with it.

Yeah, I realized that it was cheap and just a bad purchase, and I've seen some great electric ones out there, like Traxxas makes good stuff, but nitro is just my thing, and I'd rather stick to what I'm good at. And electric ones can be fast, traxxas has that 100mph one. But so can nitro, the HPI Baha 5t you can get a 62cc engine, mother of god that thing is fast and expensive.
