What if he added a disclaimer to the bottom like the car companies do when they run an ad where they are clearly engaged in “spirited” driving well above posted speed limits? Gotta be a better solution than harassing him, considering his use is how the trope of ford f-ing ranger came to be…
Doesn’t everyone else use them this way? I know I do, and I cannot be that unique

No.

No what? No disclaimer? No, people don't use trucks that way? Get 30 minutes away from the city and find a farm that the newest tractor is a 1066 or a 4430. They get used that way. IBB has an entire thread of BDLs that 365 pages long. Here's a sample:

Did arse_sidewards create a second account to get a supporter? :joke:

I think what "No" meant is apparent to most readers here. No one is telling you how to use your truck, or that no one uses their truck that way. They/We are suggesting that some of what has been shown is stupid, irresponsible, and illegal. They/We are saying don't come here here and encourage or promote it.

Carrying a bed full of wood is on a forest road is much different that what is depicted or described in the first or several other posts. Moving a grain wagon from the south 40 to the north 40 is also much different than what has been depicted or described in those posts.

Also, can only speak for myself here, you can check that "Ford F-in Ranger" mess at the door. I hate it every time that I hear it. As if people haven't done the same crap with every other make and model under the sun, and that doesn't make any of it any better.

If I'm not mistaken there's one of those on the property my sister and I are acquiring. The Ford COE that is, not a box truck. I think it's set up as a well truck, and has some sort of boom on it. Don't believe it's moved in 20-30 years. Seeing one cleaned up like that kind of makes me want to do something with it. Not much use for a box truck though. Maybe a ramp or tow truck if I could find the deck for reasonable?

Have to find out who actually owns it, what their plans are, and if it is even solid enough condition to mess with. Have heard it may be one of the neighbor's and there with permission of the current owner.

Driving on the road after lifting your truck and modifying the engine and/or swapping it is also illegal, probably shouldn't discuss those topics here either?

The trope of FFR came about due to an overly enthusiastic kid who clearly just smoked 12 big ass joints screaming FORD RANGER over and over again in a tiktok video... Not from people risking the lives of themselves and everyone else on the road.

The most important & unacceptable part is the everybody else on the road bit.

If OP loses control while 3 tons overweight and kills HIMSELF.... Thats just called natural selection.. & natural selection is good for our species as a whole.

But if OP loses control and kills somebody else... The judge he would 100% have to sit in front of shortly after the accident would call that negligent manslaughter... And he's gonna have a lot of free time to yuk it up with bubba about how badass his 30 year old shit box truck WAS before he made the worst decision of his life.

Hopefully his family would be nice enough to send him soap on a rope for his trip to the local extended stay.

No, a disclaimer doesn't help.

Actually, those are fairly new tractors. But tractors are not what was being duscussed. Tractors are rarely traveling overloaded at high speeds on the road. And some of those overloaded tractors get on the roads and DO cause safety issues and accidents. Bad comparison.

That is them. This is us. I've seen videos of idiots running over law enforcement offucers and getting shot. But you won't catch me doing it. Your comparison is irrelevant.

To be honest, this thread seems to be getting progressuvely worse. I'm going to shut it down before anyone else needs to be warned or banned. If any others mods disagree, go ahead and reopen it.
