heater core: How hard is it to change???

I got a real bad sweet smell and the windows are fogging up?



anyone done this,??? how hard is it to do???

us gen 3 guys got it easy. 1/2 hour job. comes out from under the passenger side dash.
 
Heh - that's a half hour if you're doing it for the first time and holding a flashlight in your mouth so you can see what you're doing.

It really is that easy. Be VERY glad you don't have a newer truck.
 
so it's really that simple, eh? i'm picking up an 89 in a few days and one of the things it needs right away is a heater core (it's clogged I guess, it's not leaking but its not making any heat either). I'm used to 91+ escorts where you literally have to remove the ENTIRE damn dash to get at the heater core lol.
 
i did it in m 94 a few days ago, took about 30 minutes if that.
