heat up gear oil in microwave?

This is getting better by the post. Since we thoroughly derailed any other good stories out there?

Dam I hate the "page 2 thing" I keep missing it and stick a foot or both in my mouth just about every time.

This has been a great thread...

my 2 cents worth.... girl friend many years back... had one of those green flat containers with a depression on one side (ya, like the ones you use to drain oil in). Anyhow, I used it on the old Monarch I had at the time. it was handy... throw the lid back on and you can carry it to the bin or whatever. I was busy that day, so simply left it with the used oil in it. about a week or so later, she was going camping with some girl friends of hers (girls night out kinda thing), yup, she she came up and gave me a big hug and said "thank you"( at the time I had no idea........) I guess that was her camping water jug.... (remember this is BEFORE cell phones existed). BUT not knowing what was going on when she got home.... That's right she even tossed the cast frying pan at me..... needless to say, it totalled the relationship.................

Ovens were made for baking things so I don't see the problem with baking fresh powder coated parts in there, see technically the parts arnt touching the oven since they are hanging on bailing wire from the racks. Her: You have 240 V in the shop for your welders so why dont you get your own dang oven!? Me: Yea but the oven is actually HALF MINE ya know. Her: Remember whats in my panties aint half yours pal. Me: Ok fine then... honey.

Mines not so much cleaning parts and using appliances but my ex fiancé hated my truck so much that she refuses to ride in it ( and I refused to ride in her car cuz she won't let me drive and she is the scariest driver I've ever rode with). I left her behind on multiple trips to Vegas just because she refused to ride with me and her car was out of commission. Definitely not the best relationship move.

I washed some fuel oil soaked rags once it took a couple weeks for clothes to come out of the dryer not smelling like diesel. Good thing I`m single:-)

Diesels a good fabric softener :icon_rofl:

Yea; you go work on her car all week end, leave that oily rag in that rear pocket, it gets washed w/something of hers and of course her item gets ruined. The item of hers is probably 2 washes away from being just another rag in your shop. But!!! Never mind that you probably have just saved the family hundreds of dollars in garage fees.
