I know that my blower motor resistor has been bad on my 93 3.0 since I got the truck. It always blows on one of the lower settings and it works on High. Now high stopped working and I was wondering if that was because of the resistor? Its frigid up here in Maine and it worked four days ago when I parked it. Ive been sick for a week so Im trying not to do any unnecessary work until I'm recuperated. What do ya guys think?

High bypasses the resistor and runs power right to the motor. It's either the switch or the motor most likely.

It wouldn't surprise me if you go to replace the resistor and find all of its pins inside the connector burnt, corroded and needing replacement.

They do sell the pigtail to replace the connector.
I simply soldered the wires to spade terminals and used RTV to seal the connections from the elements. In other words, I have no connector.

I got a junk ranger I sold to a friend that Ill get both from. The blower motor does still blow because I can feel it blowing out my vents. Hoping I feel good enough today to go look at it.

Does it make a difference if the new harness is AC equipped or not? My truck is just heat no AC.

Notice how there is only one pin and the rest are rusted off. One part of the plug was melted. I can scrape that one pin off to get by and I got a plug and resistor comin tomoro.

Put a new plug and resistor in. Still no change. I'm gonna try swapping out the switch tonight an hope it fixes it.
