Headlight Switch Illumination

How do you get at the light bulb that illuminates the headlight switch?
I'm about ready to go after the bulb for the fuel gauge. Like to get the both done.

I just got it apart. Access to the light in the headlight switch is obvious once you get the gauge bezel off. The switch comes with it.
However, turns out it isn't a light bulb. IT's a green LED.
I ohmed it out and it appears good. Tried it plugged in both polarities. No light. Looks liek ther is voltage to the back of the LED. I'm not sure I get it. MAybe I'll buy a new one and try it.
