Just upgraded from a 2.3L 1996 Mazda B2300 to a 2000 3.0L Ranger
One of the front corner side marker/parking lights was burnt out so I started poking around to see how things come loose for this year. I pulled the two little clips and got the headlight housing out and broke one in the process, naturally. Then I discovered the two screws under the turn signal (after owning a half dozen aerostars I should have looked there first.). Other than the broken clip, I discovered that the top of the corner markers do not stay in place like they should. The post doesn't appear to just be a guide, so I'm thinking the bit that locks it into place is worn out.
Where can I find replacements for the headlight clips and piece that it supposed to hold the top part of the corner marker in place?
(and what is with that floppy piece of plastic you have to get back in place so you can re-insert the screws under the turn signal?)
I looked through the tech library and did a couple searches, but couldn't find anything related, so I apologize if this topic has been covered before.
