Schweeet ! , Are you worried about the heat on the top rubber shock mount bushing ?, just was wondering if that might be an issue ?.

if heat does become a problem he could fab a heat shield or wrap the pipes.

Yeah I figured that , But Was Waiting for his Thoughts and Opinions , My friend has a ranger and he Is in the middle of tearing it down for a Street/Strip build and I Was looking at ideas and thought for it .

if its a problem i'll make a heat shield or just make some solid bushings. the truck is just a drag race truck and its not driven far or alot.

yeah if it was a daily driver it maybe a problem but im hoping it will be ok.

i know its not much but im planning to going to a afr 205 and they say they have a exhaust ports which are raised .125 higher than stock. thats only 1/8 of a inch but any will help

they did not last very long

they did not last very long so I'm trying this coating.

Looks great, what was the previous coating? And what is this coating?

Have you had any issues with the shock mount bushing?

this coating is from http://www.polydyn.com/headers_and_exhaust.htm

the other was a Ceramic Coating that they did not do a good job and they rusted up.

I have not had any problems with shock mount bushings. I did have to grind the mounts for the rear drag shocks to go in. they where to wide to go into the stock mounting spots.

shocks

this is what I have on the front shocks. they just bolted up. they bolt are drag shocks

the rear ones the bushing was wider than the shock mount so I had grind down the bushing to get it to work.

As long as they work they are a great add-on. The headers are the cats meow!!! Sweet and clean and I really do love the coating!!! They did a great job on the coating.
