The other day got pissed off and punched my head unit. it stopped working so i bought a Pioner super tuner IIId. hooked all the wires up correctly and still. nothing. checked fuse in inside fuse bow and replaced it. the only wire i dont have hooked up is the blue remote wire. the adapter i have dowsnt have a wire for that. could that be the problem?

the blue wire is your remote wire, which sends signal to amplifiers and turns them on. it could also be your power remote wire, but either way it would still work without it. if its bare on the end it could be grounding out but that would blow the fuse. Did you check the fuse on the radio itself? if you unplug the wiring harness from the radio there should be a fuse there usually.

You can try and pull out the head unit. And use a meter on your wires. Also check your ground wire.

I pulled unit out and checked my wires. my ground is good. i have power going to my fuse box but none at the head unit. how do i check if there is power coming out of fuse box?

Use a multimeter
