I have a 86' Ford Ranger 2.3 Oval port head and I got a new one but its round port will my oval port EFI intake work on the round port and function properly?

An engine is an air pump and the more air you can pump the faster you can go.

People "port" heads to match intake and exhaust holes so there is less turbulence and more air can be pumped..........this is a go faster modification.

You are going in the opposite direction, creating more turbulence.

Can you use the Oval intake on the round head ports, yes, will it effect engine performance, yes.
Will it make a big difference, never done it so hard to say, you may not even notice any difference.

Maybe someone has done it before and will chime in.
