i bought clear turns and park lights for my 91 ranger. I tried to clean up the head lights, but they really stick out like a soar thumb. Can you take them apart and clean them. Or should i buy a new set. Does wet sanding them really help. I want to say the yellowing is on the inside.:icon_welder:

They're probably just road-beat on the outside. Try getting a cloth buffing wheel, that chucks into an electric drill, and power buff them with plastic polish. Toothpaste works good, too, in place of the plastic polish (seriously). If they are yellowed on the inside, getting a better set from the junkyard would probably be a lot easier than trying to take them apart.

I got a permatex plastic lens restorer kit that was nothing more than sand paper (up to 2500 grit starting at 1000)

just go buy some of that, wet sand it... start going one direction (don't swirl) then on the next grit up go in the other direction... so north to south, then east to west.

when you get up to say 2500 grit, then you get into the plastic polish and just polish the poop out of it...

any yellowing on the inside will not get done this way (duh)

hope this helped you out!
